Description
Rapidly replaces water and electrolytes lost due to vomiting, diarrhoea, sweating, vigorous exercise, travel dehydration and excess alcohol consumption.Ingredients
Active ingredients (per tablet): Sodium chloride 87.5 mg Potassium chloride 149 mg Sodium bicarbonate 378 mg Citric acid anhydrous 672 mg Glucose anhydrous 1.62 g
Usage Instructions
1. Remove 2 tablets from tube and replace the cap tightly. Dissolve in 200mL of fresh, cold drinking water (2-3 minutes). For babies under 6 months use freshly boiled and cooled water. 2. Sip slowly and frequently while symptoms persist. 3. Discard unused solution after 2 hours or 24 hours if refrigerated. 4. Avoid mixing Elactalyte with cordial, fruit juice, soft or sports drinks as these can interfere with the rehydration process. 5. Always dissolve in water. Never place tablet directly into mouth. 2 tablets = 200mL Recommended dosage for dehydration due to vomiting and diarrhoes: Age under 12 mths: Take in the first 6 hours (tablets): 2-4, Max. per day (tablets): 10 Age 1-3: Take in the first 6 hours (tablets): 4-6, Max. per day (tablets): 14 Age 3-6: Take in the first 6 hours (tablets): 6-8, Max. per day (tablets): 20 Age 6-12: Take in the first 6 hours (tablets): 8-14, Max. per day (tablets): 26 Age 12-adult: Take in the first 6 hours (tablets): 12-20, Max. per day (tablets): 40 Seek medical advice if vomiting or diarrhoea persists for more than: - 6 hrs in infants under 6mths - 12 hrs in children under 3 yrs - 24 hrs in children age 3-6 yrs - 48 hrs in children over 6 yrs & adults For dehydration due to other causes: Drink Elactalte when thirsty or exhibiting signs of dehydration. If signs of dehydration persist, consult your healthcare professional.
